4. Μάξιμος μητροπολίτης Σερρών. Πήγε στο Βατικανό και όταν επέστρεψε πέθανε.
5.«Αττικής» Παντελεήμων Μπεζενίτης. Πήγε στο Βατικανό και όταν επέστρεψε έχασε τον θρόνο του, για τους λόγους που τον έχασε.
6. Θεόκλητος Κουμαριανός. Πήγε στο Βατικανό και όταν επέστρεψε έχασε το θρόνο του, για τους λόγους που τον έχασε.
7. Αρχιεπίσκοπος Χριστόδουλος. Πρώτα μας έφερε τον Πάπα. Μετά πήγε ο ίδιος στο Βατικανό και ... και ... και ... τώρα στο... Μαϊάμι.

Your Holiness,
I cordially greet you on the occasion of your 80th birthday. On this solemn day of your jubilee, may I express my special admiration of your life that has wholly been dedicated to the churchministry. You were young when you were ordained and since then you have led a praiseworthy life culminating in your election to high and eminent position of the Primate of the Roman Catholic Church. As a minister of the Church, you have long been a famous theologian fully dedicated to defending and affirming of traditional Christian values. What makes your position especially convincing is that you as a theologian are not merely a theoretically thinking scholar, but above all a sincere and deeply devoted Christian who speaks of the abundance of his heart (cf. Matthew 12.34).
I share many of the insights of your theological works and I would like to underline coinciding of our Churches' views on most vital issues with which the modern world challenges Christianity. I am deeply persuaded that it should become a solid basis for goodrelations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church.
I wholeheartedly wish you good health, many years of life, and God's help in your high ministry.

Your Holiness,
Please accept my cordial greetings on the occasion of your 80th
birthday, a prominent day in your life that you celebrate today,
which is shining with paschal joy of the Risen Christ.
All Christians know and respect you as a consistent defender of
Christian values, a talented theologian, and a wise Primate of the
Roman Catholic Church.
Your Holiness' attitude to many vibrant issues of modern times and
your vision of the necessity of 'coming back to the sources' - all
these naturally moves our Churches' positions closer together and
makes proclamation of Christian values bring forth good and
beneficial fruit. St. Paul the Apostle said that our speech and our
preaching should be 'not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in
demonstration of the Spirit and of power.' (1 Corinthians 2.4).
May our Lord give you strong health and abundant spiritual strength
that you need so much in your high ministry.

Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Alexy II has sent Christmas greetings to Pope Benedict XVI and heads of other Churches that celebrate the holiday in late December.
«I cordially congratulate you on Christmas and wish you abundant grace from the Infant God, good health and Godspeed to your high service.».

Moscow Patriarchate believes in strategic alliance with Catholics
Sofia, April 21, Interfax - The Orthodox and Catholic Churches could form a strategic alliance for the protection of Christian values, Russian Orthodox Church Representative to European International Organizations Bishop Hilarion of Vienna and Austria said in an interview with the Bulgarian magazine Christianity and Culture.
"We must realize that Orthodox and Catholic believers are no longer rivals. We are allies. The rivalry must be gone once and for all. If we understand that, proselytism will stop," he said.
'The romantic ecumenism' personified by the World Council of Churches and the Conference of European Churches is not viable, the bishop said. In his opinion, it would be much better to form bilateral strategic alliances or partnerships, for instance, between the Orthodox and Catholic Churches.
"I don't mean union, administrative merger or compromise in theological teaching, I mean strategical partnership," the Moscow Patriarchate's representative said.
According to Bishop Hilarion, joint Orthodox-Catholic "front" is required both to oppose to the challenges of secularism and to protect traditional Christianity and dialogue with other world religions.
He believes that many Protestants unlike the Orthodox and the Catholic have created "a light version of Christianity, without apostolic succession, without sacraments, without strict dogmatic teaching and what is also important they don't require sticking to Christian moral norms."
Such communities don't consider centuries-old sins as such and even promote them. When Christian community starts "revising theological or moral teaching of Christianity in order to make it more "modern" or "politically correct", it's a direct way to spiritual death," Bishop Hilarion said.
